People get angry or feel hurt when they know they shouldn't. People say things that they wish they hadn't. People do things that they know they are wrong, and don't do things that they know they should have. The cause of discontentment is that people who feel unappreciated, neglected, or even rejected; however, discontentment is often thefirst step to action because three reasons: people think the condition of discontentment as positive; discontentment is a challenge; and, contentment is delightful.
First, people think the condition of discontentment as positive that to cause discontentment is thefirst step to action. People recognized or remembered discontentment's positive aspect, that feeling which urges them to achieve better things. Positive discontentment will not allow us to rest easy with mediocre achievement, but to tell them: "this is not the end; this is not good enough; it is incomplete; things can be better than this."
Second, discontentment is a challenge. Many people grumble about not having enough time to do the things they would really like to do. Others complain because lack of money, or they feel they are not being fulfilled in their jobs. Stress and the need for approval eat away at them. That seems to be at the heart of discontentment not being truly happy in the present. Some people dwell on the past when situations were more agreeable. The challenge each of us faces knows that life can be experienced today. It is not by having a make-believe attitude where we whistle away life's problems. People have learned to be content in whatever circumstance they are in.
