This paper is about an ethical dilemma at work.Duty, good conduct and honesty are just a few of the qualities that our place of employment asks of us.When we fill out our application for work there is a place for our signature and underneath, it reads: "True to the best of my knowledge we are telling the truth.Or at least that is my perception.We are obligated to sign this application if we are intending to work for this company.If you know that you are unable to fulfill this quality, then should you walk away and not sign the application?Financial obligations are sometimes the rendering factor for signing the application.
We all make acquaintances with co-workers and sometimes you have more than one thing in common with a particular co-worker.True to that circumstance I had quite a few things in common with one of my fellow co-workers and so we became friends.As with any friendship at work we took lunches and breaks together.We would talk about work and personal issues.We would encourage each other to excel in our positions and to look forward in possibly getting a promotion.
